Ariel Ione Williams is an experimental and traditional photographer reflecting a space where the artists deepest instincts and emotions unite. Through this unearthing of the ineffable, her work translates into an investigation of Self with the intention of reaching a universal perspective. Both the external world and our own internal worlds are rich with messages if we are able to identify them and so through hours of meditation, she executes her images through the platform of metaphor and poetry to bring those messages back to us for us to remember. Photography is deliberately explored as a mirror-of-life that is meant to be recognized and that which is rich with symbolism. Williams carefully selects a point of view to create a space to be used as an environment of reflection whose aim is to understand a multitude of sensations and experiences. These visual records act as a memoir while at the same time being a play with imaginative narration.
